Item #  SNBCER07022601 Measurement:  Brooch nearly 3 1/2" in length; Earrings 2" in length Description:  This is a fabulous demi brooch and earring set signed Schreiner New York.  The brooch measures nearly 3 ½" in length.  It has the traditional dog tooth prongs, ruffled cups and inverted stones seen in Schreiner pieces giving this piece amazing depth!  This piece also has exquisite tangerine orange "cat eye" like stones.  The are clear on top with tangerine orange with glittering copper veins.  Just terrific art glass.  The pearls are a luscious creamy gray and are in great condition.  The earrings also have a wonderful drop pearl and measure nearly 2" in length, again appointed with inverted translucent stones with a slight aurora hue.  Condition:  Great Condition* Important word about condition    The set does have some condition issues. This piece has a few superficial spots of verdigris on the gilt metal.  There is also verdigris and metal wear at each of the pearl drops however as stated above the nacre of each pearl is in great condition.  Replacing each of pin stems and possible the end cap would fix this problem.  I don’t think that replacing the each cap is critical however—but that’s my personal opinion.  Each pin stem however seems to be clued in as it doesn’t exit out at the bottom of the pearl.  If you want this fixed check with your jeweler to see if it’s possible PRIOR to purchasing.   I will also say that piece is very beautiful despite the disclosure above.  Some people may not even consider this a problem.   Price:  $179.00
